Ayase Ueda will be out of action this calendar year. The striker is struggling with an upper leg injury that will keep him sidelined until at least the winter break.
Ueda sustained the injury last Wednesday in the home match against Ajax. As a result, the Japanese international was forced to retire before half-time and was replaced by Julián Carranza. Ueda has featured in 13 official matches so far this season, in which he has scored four goals.
