Malcolm Jeng sustained an injury to his right lower leg during Sunday’s league match against FC Groningen. The 20-year-old central defender underwent surgery last night at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, which was successful.
The Swedish centre-back, on loan this season from French side Stade de Reims, picked up the injury just before half-time and was forced to come off immediately. The club will provide further updates on Jeng’s situation as soon as more information becomes available.
Everyone at the club wishes Malcolm strength and success in his recovery.
