Santiago Gimenez has suffered an upper leg injury. Further medical examination has revealed that the injury is expected to require a recovery period of three months.
Gimenez sustained the injury in last Sunday's match against NAC Breda at De Kuip. The 23-year-old Mexican international grabbed his thigh after just over half an hour of play, after which he had to leave the pitch on a stretcher.
Gimenez has featured in all seven games for Feyenoord since the official start of this season, scoring four goals.
