Feyenoord failed to reduce the gap with leaders PSV on Sunday. Coach Brian Priske's team came out unrecognisable in Eindhoven and did not claim a good result for a moment: 3-0.
Although it took another 20 minutes for the home side to open the scoring, it was clear from the first minute that Feyenoord had a complete off-day. Priske saw his team rife with ball loss, losing almost every duel and basically doing everything wrong. It was therefore only a matter of time before PSV would take advantage, which happened twice before half-time.
Santiago Gimenez, who played his 100th game for the club, could have made it a game after an hour of play, but the Mexican hit the bar when he was face to face with the keeper. It was particularly unfortunate that almost immediately afterwards the other side hit the bar, ending all Rotterdam's hopes.
