The October international period has been (personally) successful for several Feyenoord players. An overview.
Ayase Ueda and Tsuyoshi Watanabe (Japan)
Ayase Ueda continued with Japan in the same way he has been doing all season at Feyenoord: scoring. The striker scored the equaliser in injury time against Paraguay (2-2) on Friday and even made the winning goal against Brazil (3-2) on Tuesday. Tsuyoshi Watanabe played the full 90 minutes in both matches.
Anis Hadj Moussa (Algeria)
Anis Hadj Moussa has secured participation in the 2026 World Cup with Algeria. The ticket was claimed thanks to a 3-0 victory over Somalia. On Tuesday, a 2-1 win against Uganda was added. Hadj Moussa came on as a substitute in both matches.
Oussama Targhalline (Morocco)
Oussama Targhalline won twice with Morocco. The international matches against Bahrain (friendly) and Congo (World Cup qualification) both ended 1-0. Targhalline came on as a substitute in both matches.
Inbeom Hwang (South Korea)
Inbeom Hwang had mixed success with South Korea. The midfielder played one half against Brazil, which was far too strong with a 0-5 result. Against Paraguay there was a win (2-0); Hwang played as a starter for just over an hour in that match.
Jordan Bos (Australia)
Jordan Bos has already scored twice for Feyenoord this season and also found the net on Tuesday night for the national team of Australia. He opened the scoring against the United States, although it was ultimately not enough for the win (2-1). The wing defender was chosen as Man of the Match. A few days earlier, he came on as a substitute against the Canada of Feyenoord teammate Cyle Larin (1-0 win).
Cyle Larin (Canada)
Cyle Larin could not prevent the defeat against Jordan Bos’s Australia as a starting player. The striker did not play any minutes last night in the friendly match against Colombia (0-0).
Leo Sauer (Slovakia)
Leo Sauer was able to add two international matches with Slovakia. The winger started in the 2-0 loss against Northern Ireland and came on as a substitute against Luxembourg (2-0 win).
Gaoussou Diarra (Mali)
Gaoussou Diarra has scored his first international goal for Mali. The winger made the fourth and final goal for his country in the 4-1 victory over Madagascar.
Givairo Read & Jaden Slory (Netherlands U21)
Givairo Read and Jaden Slory made their debuts for the Netherlands U21 last week. Read did so as a starting player in the World Cup qualification match against Bosnia U21 (0-0). On Tuesday, it was Slory’s turn in the friendly against Lithuania U21. The winger contributed to the 2-0 victory with an assist.
