Plamen Andreev signs at Feyenoord until 2029

Feyenoord has signed goalkeeper Plamen Andreev. The 19-year-old goalkeeper comes over from Bulgarian top club Levski Sofia and signs a multi-year contract at De Kuip until mid-2029.

'I am extremely happy with this transfer and motivated to succeed here,' Andreev said. 'The belief the club has in me means a lot to me. Things have moved quickly in recent years and I see this move to Feyenoord as a nice reward for that. I look forward to continuing my development as a person and goalkeeper here and succeeding at this great, big club.'

Andreev, who was born and raised in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, made the move from FK Botev 57 to Levski Sofia as a 13-year-old youth player. At the Bulgarian club, he spent the last part of his youth training and debuted in the first team at the age of 16.

At Bulgaria's current frontrunner, with whom he won the National Cup in 2022, he emerged as a steady, reliable goalkeeper. The Bulgarian youth international, who is known as a very talented goalie, therefore gained the necessary experience in professional football despite his young age. Since his official debut on May 23, 2021, he has already played 89 official matches for Levski Sofia.

Andreev will be given the number 21 at Feyenoord.
