Plug on loan to Excelsior

Feyenoord have loaned Jan Plug (21) to Excelsior Rotterdam until the end of the 2026-2027 season. The left-footed defender, who came through the Feyenoord Academy, can take the next step in his development there at Eredivisie level.

Plug, who remains under contract at Feyenoord until mid-2028, spent the second half of last season on loan at FC Dordrecht. The defender from Katwijk made 14 appearances in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie and scored once. Plug has made nine official appearances for Feyenoord’s first team to date and will now have the prospect of more playing time in the Eredivisie.
