The training sessions were led by three Feyenoord coaches who traveled from Rotterdam specifically for this Feyenoord Camp. The sessions focused on both technical skills and tactical awareness, aligning with Feyenoord’s renowned youth development philosophy. ‘At Apex Football Academy, our focus has always been to create an environment where players can reach their highest potential, and this camp has been no exception’, said Hashemi. ‘Working closely with Feyenoord has allowed us to refine our approach, challenge the players in new and innovative ways, and foster the kind of growth that will benefit them in the long run. This Feyenoord Camp was part of an ongoing collaboration between Feyenoord and Apex Football Academy, which officially began in September 2024. Since then, both organizations have worked together to raise the standards of youth football in Canada through shared knowledge and international experiences. ‘This camp is a great example of how our international partnerships can create meaningful opportunities for young and talented players to grow, both on and off the pitch’, added Vader.

As a next step in the partnership, three youth teams from Apex Football Academy are set to travel to Rotterdam in August, where they will have the unique opportunity to train at the Feyenoord Academy facilities and experience European football firsthand.
