Team news: Timber still sidelined

Quinten Timber will miss Feyenoord’s away match against Heracles Almelo on Sunday. The midfielder has not yet fully recovered from an injury that also kept him out of the last two games before the international break.

Long-term absentee Jakub Moder will also not be part of the squad yet. However, the Polish midfielder is entering the final phase of his recovery and things are looking increasingly positive for him, as Robin van Persie explained during Friday’s press conference.

The coach is preparing his team for the resumption of the league. For Feyenoord, that means an away game in Almelo on matchday nine, where they will face Eredivisie’s bottom side Heracles.
‘That in itself is a danger,’ Van Persie said. ‘Everyone expects us to win easily, but it’s not that simple. We’re certainly not taking this game lightly. Especially when you look at the rest of the season, these points can prove crucial.’

The full press conference with Van Persie can be watched on Feyenoord ONE.
Heracles Almelo – Feyenoord kicks off on Sunday at 16:45 and will be broadcast live on ESPN 1
