UEFA has handed Tess van Bentem a two-match suspension following her red card in the first leg against RSC Anderlecht in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup. The midfielder was sent off early in the match after committing a foul.
As a result, Van Bentem was automatically suspended for the return leg against the club from the Belgian capital. She will now only miss the home match against Vålerenga IF in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup, which will be played at Varkenoord on Wednesday 23 September.
