From May 12th until May 15th , a group from the Future Coach Developer programme from the Premier League paid a visit to Rotterdam. The program consisted of multiple days full with observing football training, meeting the Feyenoord Academy staff, listening to presentations and engaging in discussions.
The group consisted of coaches that are part of the Future Coach Developer programme. This programme is created to develop coach developers. Here at Feyenoord we were delighted to get the opportunity to host this group and help them with their development. They got the opportunity to learn about our Academy, Feyenoord Vision, and work closely with our coaches while getting involved in interesting discussions.
The group started their visit with a tour of the Feyenoord Academy facilities by one of the Feyenoord Academy coaches. They observed our talents during training sessions and matches. The assistant coach of the women’s first team gave a presentation about the women’s side of the Academy. The group got to meet our Head of Academy and Head of Coaching and had the opportunity to pick their brains. They also had the chance to visit our stadium for the last home game of the season where the first team won with 2-0 against RKC Waalwijk. The trip ended with a one-on-one session involving the U12 coaching staff and a lunch at the Feyenoord Academy.
The group from the Premier League had an overall great learning experience and a great networking opportunity.
