Toko Koga is een van de kanshebbers op een plek in het prestigieuze The Best FIFA Women's 11, het elftal van beste vrouwelijke speelsters wereldwijd. De 19-jarige middenvelder, die Feyenoord afgelopen zomer verruilde voor Tottenham Hotspur, ontving de nominatie op basis van haar seizoen in Rotterdam.
Koga signed with Feyenoord in January 2024 and quickly became an indispensable player in Jessica Torny’s team. Over one and a half seasons, Koga made 38 appearances for Feyenoord, scoring three goals.
Thanks to her strong 2024–2025 season at Feyenoord, the Japanese midfielder has now earned her nomination. It marks the first time in history that a Feyenoord player has been in contention for this honor.

The Best FIFA Women’s 11 is an annual award in which the world football association selects the best eleven players of the previous season, forming a prestigious “All-Star team.”
Fans can vote for the goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards they believe were the best, and the players with the most votes earn a place in the Women’s 11.
Koga is one of 16 midfielders in the running for a spot in the team. Voting is open on FIFA’s website.
