After six wins in a row, Feyenoord's self-confidence is in good shape ahead of the final four league games of the season. Yet Robin van Persie is looking to improve, as he made clear at Friday's press conference ahead of the away game against Heracles Almelo.
The mid-March appointed head coach won six of the seven Eredivisie matches so far, but is not deaf to the criticism that sometimes sounds about his team's play.
'I understand those too and we are working hard on it. For instance, we would like to have a bit more control in games. It doesn't feel good when we don't have the ball and that was the case a bit too often in some of the last games.'
Despite this, Feyenoord have won six league games in a row and are on course to finish at least third in the Eredivisie. Van Persie is no longer counting on the second place, he told Friday.
'Then it has to be very lucky,' he sounded, referring to the league table. With four games to go, they are five points behind PSV. Van Persie: 'And with that, we also just have to take FC Utrecht into account, because they continue to catch on.'

Heracles Almelo - Feyenoord starts Saturday at 18:45 and can be seen live on ESPN 2.
