VV Smitshoek new Feyenoord Academy partner

Remco Heerkens, Coordinator Academy Partners of Feyenoord, sees VV Smitshoek as a valuable addition to the existing Academy Partners. 'Smitshoek has over 1,800 members, making it one of the larger clubs in the province of South Holland. Besides being a very structured club, it also has a clear vision with training youth players.'

'For us it is a great confirmation that a top club like Feyenoord embraces our plans that we have with our youth program and wants to support us by means of this cooperation,' says Jurrian van Neuren, working as full-time Head of Youth Development at VV Smitshoek. 'Also, we see the cooperation as an appreciation for the development we as a club have gone through in recent years.'

Academy Partners
Feyenoord Academy works closely within and outside Rotterdam with a network of Academy Partners to stimulate youth footbalin the region. Through the exchange of knowledge and the constructive relationship, Feyenoord Academy and its partner clubs raise the quality of development for youth players to a higher level.
