Feyenoord sign Togo’s Dermane Karim
Feyenoord have contracted talented midfielder Dermane Karim. The 18-year-old Togo youth international joins the club with immediate effect from the Planète Foot Académie in Lome. He signed a four-and-a-half-year contract in the boardroom at De Kuip on Tuesday afternoon.
Feyenoord technical director Frank Arnesen expressed his delight at Karim’s decision to join the club. ‘In Dermane we see a huge talent who is expected to rapidly get up to Feyenoord’s level.’
Karim himself was also very happy with the switch. ‘It feels really great to be here. I’m impressed with the club and I’d like to continue my development here and show everyone what I can do.’
