Ramon Hendriks extends Feyenoord deal

Feyenoord fans can look forward to many more years of Ramon Hendriks after the 20 year old signed a new contract on Monday. The defender, who was a starting member of the team that reached the quarter final of the Europa Conference League last week, has tied himself to the club until at least mid-2025.
‘A good move for both him and us,’ concludes technical director Frank Arnesen. ‘Ramon has been a first-team regular since the summer and he is making excellent progress. He is a player who is eager to learn and who you see is taking advantage of the standard of player around him. This season he’s increasingly showing what he has to offer and we’re convinced that he will be even more valuable to Feyenoord in the future.’

‘I want to be a success at this club,’ says Hendriks in connection with his contract extension. ‘I’ve noticed I am improving by training at a high level with the first team. This contact extension for one shows that the club also sees that. I have to remain hungry and continue to develop.’

Hendriks joined the Feyenoord family in 2017. The left-footed defender started at amateur club ASWH in his hometown Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht before joining FC Dordrecht’s youth development setup. Switching to Feyenoord Academy, he progressed through various age groups, signing his first professional contract in 2020. After a period on loan to NAC Breda, this season Hendriks returned to Feyenoord and has already made eight first-team appearances.

Hear more from Ramon Hendriks on his contract renewal, the progress he has made in his development and how he sees his future at the club on Studio Feyenoord this Friday.
