Real Madrid Graduate School explore Feyenoord Academy

For the fourth consecutive year, Feyenoord has had the privilege of hosting thirty students from the Real Madrid Graduate School at the prestigious Feyenoord Academy. During their annual trip to the Netherlands the group had the opportunity to gain invaluable insight into the Feyenoord philosophy of player development while also being allowed full access to the new facilities.

The students were welcomed at Feyenoord's new youth academy complex. In addition to observing the U17's and U19's training sessions, the students were also present at three presentations. Rick Cost, Physical Trainer of the first team of Feyenoord, plunged with the students in the philosophy that Feyenoord uses in the field of physical training for both its youth players and first team. Later during the day, Academy Manager Raymond van Meenen told about the operational matters within the Feyenoord Academy. His presentation was followed up by Stanley Brard, Head of the Academy, with a presentation about football affairs.

It was wonderful for our students to visit Feyenoord and learn about the club and its strategy, plans and secrets for their youth development. David Viejo, Director of Master in Football Management at Real Madrid Graduate School

‘We would like to congratulate everyone at Feyenoord for their great work and thank them for welcoming us to their amazing new facilities, where we all felt very comfortable’, said David Viejo, Director of Master in Football Management at Real Madrid Graduate School. ‘Our students have walked away with new knowledge and at the Real Madrid Graduate School we are very happy to be able to provide this experience.’ Gido Vader, Manager of International Relations adds: ‘The size and appearance of our new complex give an extra dimension to the Academy Visits that we offer for our international guests. We have received many praising words from the students and we appreciate that very much. We are looking forward to hosting the Real Madrid Graduate School again at the Feyenoord Academy in the future.’
