Taabouni signs two-year deal with Feyenoord
Mohamed Taabouni arrives at De Kuip on a free transfer from AZ after agreeing terms with Feyenoord. The 20-year-old winger has put his signature to a two-year contact with an option on a further year.
Haarlem-born Taabouni began his football pathway at local club Olympia Haarlem. In 2013 he made the switch to the AZ youth academy, where he advanced through all the age groups. Last season he was part of the AZ U21s squad that competes in the Keuken Kampioen Division.
Taabouni described himself as a ‘technically skilled player’ with specific qualities. ‘I can get past my man and I’m strong and creative when there’s little space. I could take a few steps up physically, which I should certainly be able to do here at 1908. The facilities are very good. Feyenoord is an ambitious club, and I can’t wait to get started here,’ Taabouni told Feyenoord Media after signing his contact.
